“Are you looking to Jesus ?”
Heb.12:2 “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy ahead of Him and endured the cross, despising the shame, and sits down at the right hand of God.”What does it mean to look to Jesus to have all of our needs met? Well, let’s say I borrow $10,000 from John, a friend of mine, but then I discovered that I can’t pay it back. John comes to me and says,” If you don’t pay it back, I’m going to foreclose on you.” So I go over to another friend Mike, and tell him my dire situation and ask for his help. Mike says,”That’s alright, Doru, look to me. “Notice that he didn’t say, “Look at me. He said, look to me. “In other words, “I will handle it. ” That’s what the Bible means when it says, “Look unto Jesus.” It means look to Him for whatever you need. Who is looking to you to have their needs met today? Are you, then looking to God or you are trying to do it on your own? Jesus is the author and finisher of your faith. Halleluj!
ah! Whatever He started He will finish. Do you believe that? He started the work of salvation at the cross but He also finished it in spite of its endurance and shame, and now He sits down at the right hand of God interceding for you. Look to Jesus not to the troubles and circumstances. Circumstances are like a mattress. If you sleep on it you relax and are comfortable. If you sleep underneath you will suffocate. The choice is yours if you want to be on the top or underneath them.
